RINA S.p.A. is the operative organisation of Registro Italiano Navale in the sector of ship classification, certification and control and services for industry, training, assistance and research.

RINA has operated as an international certification body since 1989, as a direct consequence of its historic commitment to save human life at sea, safeguard property and protect the marine environment in the interest of all its stakeholders, as established in its Statute and transferring its experience to other fields as well.

RINA's mission is to raise the quality level on the market as it is aware that measures to enhance safety, protect the environment and minimise social impact can only add to the value of organisations that adopt them.

Dealing with the safety of shipping and environmental protection all over the world, has very specific connotations in terms of skills, organisation and flexibility. As RINA has been acquiring these connotations ever since it was established in 1861, it is able to capitalise on them and provide them for the future challenges of the Group.
